My life as an Otaku For most of my life, I was never really into Manga. I was too busy playing vidya games, and reading quality brain rotting American comics like Impossible Man, Zippy the Pinhead, X-Men, etc.
Around the tender age of 17/18, I saw Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network for the first time. I instantly fell in love and tried recording every episode religiously (even fighting one of my brothers over the remote to do so). My first taste of Manga was some time around my mid 20's, when I went on a trip to protest in DC, and halfway there, we stopped at a Wegmans in Pennsylvania. Had loads of cash on hand, so bought an issue of Shonen Jump. Read the whole entire book within the 3-4 days we stayed in DC.
My favourite manga is Sailor Moon, although I haven't read that many chapters. Pokemon Adventure is pretty legit too.
